Having specialized in video-production, I found myself working at production houses as an in-house scriptwriter. Later while pursuing my second Master's degree in interactive storytelling, I went on to write more scripts and even produce some of them.
Below you will find some of my work credits where I have written concepts, scripts and screenplays for fiction (TV melodrama, student films, student screenplays) and non-fiction films (TV documentary, corporate ad films, student documentaries).
If you would like to see copies of the films or the scripts/screenplays, get in touch with me.

Fiction
* Professional Scriptwriting: Scripting 22 Episodes of "Kutumb" - a daily melodrama (where each episode lasted 30 minutes) aired during primetime on Sony TV (India)- was one of the more memorable things I did.
The premise revolved around a young couple who fall in love and battle all odds (family pressures, financial pressures, negative forces, death and disease) to stay together. A contemporary, youthful, melodramatic TV Series, ‘Kutumb’ was rated #2 on Sony TV and aired Monday to Thursday, 9:30pm IST.

* Concept, Script & Screenplay: I just completed writing a Hollywood film screenplay entitled "A Groom for Vaidehi". I really should approach an agent and try and market the script. But since I'm new to the process of selling a Hollywood screenplay, i'm taking my time, by learning the ropes first.
A quirky sentimental comedy, set partly in India and partly in the United States - this is a film which looks at the whole process of arranged marriage and inter-racial relationships, through the eyes of twenty-six year old Vaidehi, our protagonist. Set in first person, the tone alternates between a memoir and a confessional.

* Script, Screenplay & Production:-
In August of 2004 I was part of a team of six people, competing in the 48 Hour Film Festival in Cincinnati. The traveling, international festival challenges teams to write, shoot, edit, and produce a short film in a single, weekend-long 48 hour period.
My role in the team was to write the script and screenplay for "American Zombie" - a short 8 minute horror film - all within half a day - so that the team could shoot the movie immediately!

After discussing concepts for an hour, I finally ended up scripting a story about a guy who struggles with the special needs of his "Necro Ambulant" (Zombie) brother. The script was a comedic and satirical take on the horror genre itself.

Non Fiction
* Producer, Researcher & Script Writer:- I led a team of brilliant Indiana University students and created a 26 minute documentary on pawn shops, entitled "Hocked! Pawn Industry in America". The documentary caught the eye of someone important and was telecast twice in November 2004 on WTIU, a PBS Channel.

* Producer and Writer:- "The Miles Ahead" was a student documentary on Old Age, where we profiled elderly people who have a positive outlook on life.

We managed to find some truly fascinating elders with equally fascinating stories to tell.
